A rare opportunity, number 4 of only 10 worldwide a signed Spitfire by both pilot and German ace from the artists own private collection not for general release celebrating the 1st engagement of pilot Geoffery Welham. Framed and ready to hang. Must be seen in the flesh so to speak. Unfortunately photo over glass never reproduces well Winter of 41 showing the snowy weather and the aircraft getting ready.

Heavy snow during the winter of 41 sometimes kept pilots and their aircraft grounded. Despite the great efforts of the ground crew during this heavy snow storm there was no way Spitfire "G" George assigned to Geoffery Wellum based at RAF Manston could resume combat sweeps over Northern Europe until the storm passed.

Pilot Geoffrey Wellum was the youngest RAF pilot to fly in the Battle Of Britain  at 18yrs based at RAF Camarthenshire where he began his combat 1939-1961 achieved the status of Squadron Leader.

At Geoffrey Welhm's funeral the RAF carried out a Spitfire fly past in recogntion of his service to the RAF died at the age of 96.
