Barry Seaforth

Born in 1957 in London, Barry graduated from Winchester School of Art in 1979 dreaming of one day becoming a full-time artist.  He moved to Devon in 2004 and on setting up his own Studio in Appletree Cottage that dream became much closer. He has now moved to Seaton and with the sea only one mile away and stunning countryside on his doorstep, the subject matter is endless. He is usually to be found sketching around his local towns of Seaton, Sidmouth, Beer, Colyton, and Axmouth.

Impressionism is a big influence on his work. He likes to be Bold and Distinctive in his approach, not to fussy. whilst keeping a figurative feel.  His main medium is oils, either on Gessoed Board of Linen Canvas.
